There are many different individuals in a number of different countries that enjoy playing a game of bingo, but the most popular versions of the game include the US version of the game, simply known as bingo, and the UK version of the game, commonly known as housie.  Both games require the use of bingo cards, but the bingo cards that are used in each game can differ greatly.

For both games, the bingo cards that are used to track the called numbers and win the game are generally made out of cardboard or paper that is designated for a single use.  The cards are marked by placing markers over the called numbers or inking out the numbers that have been called to track which numbers have been called and to easily reveal when an individual has won the game.  Here is where the similarities in the bingo cards end.

In the US version of the game, the bingo cards consists of a five by five square that has the letters in the word BINGO as the headers for the columns and five numbers between the numbers of 1 and 75 in each column under each letter.  In the UK version of the game, the bingo cards consist of three rows with nine spaces in each row.  The numbers used range from 1 to 90 and each column on the bingo cards can have one, two, or three number in the column with blank spaces comprising the rest of the card.
